Buying solar from a shop in Lahore is different from buying a phone. Here is what to check on the seller, the products and the paperwork before you pay.

What a solar shop should give you

A reliable seller gives you a written quote with the brand and model of every main part. The quote shows the system size in kW, the panel count, the inverter rating and the battery capacity if one is included.

Ask who installs the system. If the shop only sells parts, ask for the names of the installation team and who you contact when something fails.

Check the products before you pay

Panels, inverters and batteries have datasheets. Check the rated power, the efficiency and the warranty years on the datasheet against the quote. A quote that does not match the datasheet is a warning sign.

Ask about the inverter's voltage window and the battery voltage. They must match, and a mismatch is one of the most common installation faults.

Check the warranty and the after-sales service

Ask for each warranty in writing: panels, inverter, battery and workmanship. Confirm the period, what is covered and who handles a claim.

Ask how long a replacement takes and who pays the transport cost. Ask which service team answers in Lahore.

Check the paperwork for net metering

Any system connected to the LESCO network needs the net-metering or net-billing application. Ask the seller to explain the documents, the fees and the expected steps.

The installed capacity must stay within your sanctioned load under the current rules. A good seller checks this before quoting.
