Solar System Price in Lahore 2026: Rs 70,000 per kW On-Grid, Installed

Commercial solar installation by SNM Solutions

A complete solar system in Lahore costs Rs 70,000 per kW for on-grid and Rs 150,000 per kW for hybrid with a lithium battery, installed. That means a 10 kW on-grid system is Rs 700,000 and a 10 kW hybrid is Rs 1,500,000. These are SNM Solutions’ published rates, not “request a quote” placeholders, and they include everything: A-grade panels, inverter, mounting structure, wiring, protections and installation.

Which size does your home need?

Size to your daytime electricity use, not to your roof and not to your total monthly units. Under net billing every unit you use yourself saves roughly Rs 55 to 65, while a unit exported earns about Rs 11, so an oversized array loses money rather than making it.

  • 5 marla home, one to two ACs: usually 3 to 5 kW, Rs 210,000 to Rs 350,000 on-grid
  • 10 marla home, two to three ACs: usually 6 to 10 kW, Rs 420,000 to Rs 700,000 on-grid
  • 1 kanal home, four to six ACs: usually 10 to 20 kW, Rs 700,000 to Rs 1,400,000 on-grid

One hard limit applies to everyone since 2026: your system cannot exceed the sanctioned load shown on your LESCO bill. If you want a bigger system than that, you apply to LESCO to raise the sanctioned load first.

Hybrid systems add a lithium battery and a hybrid inverter.

On-grid or hybrid?

On-grid is the lower price and the better return if most of your electricity is used during daylight. It shuts down during load-shedding, by design, for the safety of line workers.

Hybrid adds a battery and a hybrid inverter, which roughly doubles the per-kW price, and gives you two things: power through load-shedding, and the ability to store daytime surplus and use it in the evening at the full tariff instead of exporting it at about Rs 11. Most Lahore homes we install are hybrid, because the household wanted backup anyway.

Because the battery is bought for backup, we exclude it from the payback calculation. On that basis both types pay back in roughly 2 to 3 years at current tariffs.

What the price includes

  • A-grade, documented panels (Longi, Jinko, JA or Canadian, depending on availability and your roof) — see today’s panel rates, updated twice daily
  • Inverter sized to the array, on-grid or hybrid
  • Mounting structure, elevated where the roof suits it
  • DC and AC wiring, protections, earthing and surge protection
  • Installation, commissioning and testing
  • Complete LESCO net-billing application, inspection coordination and bi-directional meter
  • 25-year panel performance warranty, 5 to 10 years on the inverter depending on brand
Bi-directional LESCO net billing meter installed by SNM Solutions in Lahore
The bi-directional meter is included; LESCO charges for it separately.

What it does not include

LESCO’s own charges: the NEPRA processing fee of about Rs 1,000 per kW, the bi-directional meter, and any inspection or demand-notice charges. If your home is single-phase and needs a three-phase upgrade, that is a separate LESCO application and cost. We tell you these before you commit, not after.

Panel price versus system price

A panel price you see quoted per watt, on Hall Road or anywhere else, is not a system price. Panels are roughly half the cost of a working installation; the inverter, structure, wiring, protections, labour and the net-billing approval make up the rest. If you want to compare panel rates specifically, we publish those separately on our Lahore panel price page.

Frequently asked questions

What is the price of a solar system in Lahore in 2026?

At SNM Solutions’ published rates, on-grid systems are Rs 70,000 per kW installed and hybrid systems with lithium battery are Rs 150,000 per kW. So a 10 kW on-grid system is Rs 700,000 and a 10 kW hybrid is Rs 1,500,000. Both include A-grade panels, inverter, mounting structure, wiring, protections and installation.

What size solar system does a Lahore home need?

It depends on your daytime electricity use, not your roof size. A 5 marla home with one or two ACs typically needs 3 to 5 kW, a 10 marla home with two or three ACs needs 6 to 10 kW, and a 1 kanal home with four to six ACs needs 10 to 20 kW. Under 2026 rules your system also cannot exceed your sanctioned load.

Is solar still worth it in Lahore after net billing?

Yes, but sizing matters more than it used to. Since 9 February 2026 exported units earn about Rs 11 while every unit you use yourself saves the full tariff of roughly Rs 55 to 65. A system sized to your daytime load still pays for itself in about 2 to 3 years at current tariffs.

Does the price include net metering or net billing paperwork?

Yes. SNM Solutions prepares and files the complete LESCO application, coordinates the inspection and gets the bi-directional meter installed. LESCO’s own charges, including the NEPRA fee of about Rs 1,000 per kW, are separate from the system price.

How long does installation take in Lahore?

Most residential systems are installed in two to four days. The LESCO net-billing approval runs separately and typically takes several weeks; we handle that process for you.

Can I get a solar system in Lahore on instalments?

Several Pakistani banks offer solar financing over one to five years, and we prepare the itemised quotation banks ask for. See our solar financing page for instalment-versus-bill maths at our published prices.
