33 kW hybrid + on-grid system in DHA Phase 1, Lahore. A large DHA Phase 1 home with a heavy bill and a need for backup through load-shedding. We split the array across a hybrid and an on-grid inverter so the house gets battery backup on essential circuits without paying hybrid prices for the whole system.
What we installed
- 33 kW of Trina N-Type 590 W bifacial panels
- Dual inverters: 15 kW hybrid + 15 kW on-grid
- 5 kWh tubular battery for load-shedding backup
- Net metering approved and activated
Performance
- Daily generation: 138.6 units
- Monthly generation: 4,158 units
- Annual generation: 50,589 units
- Carbon offset: about 6.105 tonnes per year

What this means under 2026 net billing
The battery is what makes this design hold up under net billing, in force for new connections since 9 February 2026: daytime surplus is stored and used in the evening at the full tariff of roughly Rs 55 to 65, instead of being exported at about Rs 11. Backup through load-shedding is the reason most Lahore homes buy the battery in the first place, so it sits outside the solar payback, which at our current rates is 2 to 3 years.
