Hall Road panel prices vs an installed system
Many people in Lahore start by checking panel prices on Hall Road, and then wonder why an installed system quote looks different. A panel price is for the panel alone. An installed price adds the inverter, the mounting structure engineered for your roof, DC and AC cabling, protections and earthing, the labour to install and commission it, and the LESCO paperwork. Buying panels separately and hiring a local electrician can look cheaper on paper, but the inverter warranty, the structure surviving a Lahore storm, and getting the net-billing meter approved are where most of the value and most of the risk sit. What is different about solar in Lahore
- Sunshine: Lahore averages around 4 units per kW per day across the year. A 10 kW system produces about 40 units a day, more in May and June, less in the winter fog of December and January.
- LESCO net billing: since 9 February 2026 new connections are on net billing. Exported units earn about Rs 11, while every unit you use yourself saves the full tariff of roughly Rs 55 to 65. Size to your daytime load, not your roof.
- Heat and dust: panels lose output when hot and dirty. We design for airflow under the array and recommend a cleaning schedule, especially before and after the monsoon.
- Load-shedding areas: if your area faces regular outages, a hybrid system keeps essentials running. Because most Lahore homes already buy backup batteries, we count the battery separately from the solar payback.
