How to read these prices

The per-watt figure is the industry’s standard way of comparing panels, because the same brand sells several wattages. Multiply it by the panel’s wattage for the per-panel price: a 605 W panel at Rs 42.50 per watt is about Rs 25,700. Our rate already includes SNM’s margin, and every panel we supply is A-grade with manufacturer documentation and warranty.

Panel price vs installed system price

A panel price is for the panel alone. An installed system adds the inverter, a mounting structure engineered for your roof, DC and AC cabling, protections and earthing, installation and commissioning, and the net-billing application to your DISCO. That is why installed prices are quoted per kW of system rather than per watt of panel: Rs 70,000 per kW for on-grid and Rs 150,000 per kW for hybrid with lithium battery. Buying panels alone and hiring a local electrician can look cheaper, but the inverter warranty, the structure surviving a storm, and getting the net-billing meter approved are where most of the value and most of the risk sit.

A-grade documented vs B-grade panels

You will see much cheaper panels advertised as B-grade or non-documented. These are typically factory seconds or grey imports without a valid manufacturer warranty, and their real output is often below the label. The price gap looks attractive until a panel fails in year three with no one to claim from. SNM installs only A-grade, documented panels, and the prices above reflect that.

Why prices change daily

Panels are imported, so the rupee-dollar rate is the biggest driver, followed by import duties and taxes, shipping costs and local demand. Prices have fallen sharply over recent years as manufacturing scaled up. If you are planning a system, the per-watt price matters less than sizing it correctly under Pakistan’s net-billing rules, which decide how much of your own power you actually use. Frequently asked questions

What is the solar panel price in Pakistan today?

The table on this page is updated twice a day with per-watt and per-panel prices for A-grade Longi, Jinko, Canadian and JA panels. Rates move daily with the dollar and market demand.

Why is the per-watt price different from the installed system price?

A per-watt panel price covers the panel only. An installed system also includes the inverter, mounting structure, wiring, protections, installation and the net-billing application. Installed prices are Rs 70,000 per kW on-grid and Rs 150,000 per kW hybrid.

What is the difference between A-grade documented and B-grade panels?

A-grade documented panels carry the manufacturer warranty and import documentation. B-grade or non-documented panels are cheaper but have no valid warranty and often lower real output. SNM installs only A-grade documented panels.

Why do solar panel prices change every day in Pakistan?

Panels are imported, so the rupee-dollar rate, import duties, shipping and local demand all move the price. That is why this page is refreshed twice daily instead of quoting a fixed figure.
